Yum!

My meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and sweet green peas 🙂

This is an altered recipe that I’ve mixed from several sources, as well as with my own tastes added in! 🙂

Ingredients:

  • Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 pounds of ground beef or turkey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1, 1/2 cups of dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of favorite bbq sauce
  • 2-4 slices bacon (optional – but good for flavor)
  • 1 can of tomato sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix everything together except the bacon and tomato sauce.
  3. Mix in any additional seasonings your family might prefer in their meat dishes.
  4. Press the mixture into a loaf pan (oiled if needed)
  5. Lay the bacon slices atop the loaf mixture.
  6. Cover the loaf with tomato sauce.
  7. Bake for an hour, or until the temperature measures 120-160 (depending upon how done you wish it to be).
